Barnyard Millet Mango Milkshake is a smooth and naturally sweet beverage prepared using barnyard millet milk and fresh mango. This drink combines the nutritional benefits of millet with the rich taste of mango, making it a healthier option compared to conventional milkshakes.

Ingredients

  • Barnyard millet milk – 100 ml
  • Regular milk – 100 ml
  • Mango fruit – 50 g (peeled and sliced)
  • Sugar – 25 g
  • Water – as required

Preparation Method

  1. Soak dehulled barnyard millet in excess water overnight.
  2. Wash the soaked grains thoroughly and grind with water in a 1:1 ratio.
  3. Extract about 100 ml of millet milk and filter to remove particles.
  4. Combine millet milk with regular milk and boil for 5–10 minutes.
  5. Allow it to cool to room temperature.
  6. Peel and cut mango into slices.
  7. Blend mango slices with sugar to make a smooth pulp.
  8. Add the cooled milk mixture to the mango pulp and blend well.
  9. Strain the mixture for a smooth consistency.
  10. Garnish with almonds or saffron if desired.
  11. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  12. Serve chilled.
