Ingredients

  • Barnyard millet raw milk – 50 ml
  • Apple – 100 g (chopped)
  • Dates – 50 g (chopped)
  • Regular milk – 50 ml
  • Honey – 20 g
  • Cardamom powder – a pinch
  • Water – as required

Preparation Method

  1. Soak dehulled barnyard millet in water (1:3 ratio) overnight.
  2. Wash the soaked grains and grind them to extract about 50 ml of raw millet milk.
  3. Strain the milk using a filter to remove any grain particles.
  4. Combine the millet milk with regular milk and boil for 5–10 minutes.
  5. Allow it to cool to room temperature.
  6. Chop dates and apples into small pieces. Keep apple pieces in water to prevent discoloration.
  7. Blend the chopped dates and apples into a smooth paste.
  8. Add the fruit paste to the cooled millet milk.
  9. Add cardamom powder and blend until smooth.
  10. Strain the mixture for a refined texture.
  11. Add honey and mix well.
  12. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  13. Serve chilled.
